About The Artist

As an art student, I have studied other artists, which challenge my own views of the world of art. Accepting and studying other artists’ styles, particularly impressionism and realism, invigorates my imagination and creativity in ways that continually enlighten me.

This has led me to encompass the best techniques to enrich my art and create something magical, something that will enrich the lives of people who view my work and hopefully see the beauty that I have created with awe.

The first sign of my love for art started to show in my very early years when my primary school teacher became fond of my artwork and displayed it on the classroom wall. This later went on to infuse my confidence and motivated me to participate in a selection of many art events and competitions.

My first solo art exhibition took place at my university in 1989 (Veterinary Medicine and Surgery). This was followed by several art exhibitions at local galleries.

I have gathered a great deal of my inspiration from the literature that I love, to the art which empowers me and draws in the viewer. An understanding and insight into where the mixture of words, colours and different mediums, tells my story. A story of love, passion, and my life experience of bliss, sorrow and war. This symbolism of words combined with the images that I have created into an integrated diorama.

Despite my biggest passion for watercolour, I am always open to and enjoy working with a variety of different mediums. After returning to university, to study art, I was excited to continue to use different mediums and particularly enjoyed working with sculpture-making through ceramics and 3D works, as well as installations.

Living close to Morden Hall Park has allowed me to connect with nature, where I can capture every single detail. This park has allowed me to be one with the ambience, alongside the colours, applying my vision in an abstract manner, tantalising playing with the expectation of nature, its beauty, curiosity and desire.

Art is a strong contender in how I share my thoughts, ideas and emotions. To create an art piece is to connect the observer on an emotional level. Taking the viewers to a phenomenal world that only exist in their imagination, and giving them the chance to reconnect, is what I aspire to achieve.

Every day brings a new experience in life; learning never ends. As long I shall live, my art shall live with me.
